Ecology Opportunities Across NSW

About the role

AECOM is expanding its Ecology practice across New South Wales and is seeking experienced ecology professionals for roles ranging from professional to director level in Sydney and Newcastle.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver ecological assessments, field investigations and baseline flora and fauna surveys.
• Provide biodiversity assessments and support State Significant Development and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare technical reports, environmental impact assessments and manage client relationships.
• Lead project teams, mentor emerging ecologists and contribute to business development.
• Drive innovation and improve ecological tools and approaches.

Required profile

• Experience in ecology, environmental consulting or related disciplines.
• Knowledge of NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation.
• Experience with biodiversity assessment, approvals and ecological investigations.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Passion for biodiversity, conservation and delivering practical outcomes.
• Leadership capability or interest in growing into people‑leadership roles.
