Early Childhood Educator & Teacher

About the role

Young Academics is seeking passionate Early Childhood Educators and Teachers for its centres in Elderslie, Gledswood Hills and Gregory Hills. You will create meaningful learning experiences that support children’s development, safety and wellbeing while delivering programs aligned with the EYLF and NQS.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging educational programs that follow the EYLF, NQS and Young Academics’ curriculum.
• Observe, document and assess children’s learning, promoting independence and agency.
• Maintain active supervision, ensure safe and inclusive environments, and manage risks.
• Embed child safety, safeguarding and mandatory reporting into daily practice.
• Build respectful relationships with children and positive partnerships with families.
• Collaborate with fellow educators, contribute to reflective practice and continuous improvement.
• For qualified Early Childhood Teachers, provide pedagogical leadership and mentor other educators.

Required profile

• ACE‑approved Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards) or an ACE‑approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification (Bachelor or Master equivalent).
• Current NESA Teacher Accreditation for Early Childhood Teacher applicants.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, National Mandatory Child Protection and Food Handler Basics certificates.
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and relevant regulations.
• Genuine commitment to child safety, safeguarding and inclusive practice.
