Early Childhood Educator (Room Leader) - Broome

About the role

The YMCA WA (the Y WA) is looking for a full-time permanent Nursery Room Leader for its local early learning centre in Broome, Western Australia. The centre is described as a non-profit early learning place focused on helping babies aged 0-2 years become independent. The role leads a small team of educators and plays a key part in the education and social development of the children.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a close-knit team of educators so that children enjoy an inclusive, safe, hygienic and inspiring environment.
• Promote the centre's 'School ReadY' program and manage compliance.
• Ensure children continue to develop in body, mind and spirit after each shift.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Early Childhood or equivalent.
• HLTAID012 First Aid certificate or equivalent.
• Previous experience in children's services, developing and implementing programs for 0- to 5-year-olds.
• Ability to obtain a National Police Certificate and a Working with Children card.
• Infectious enthusiasm and passion for early years education and care.

What we offer

• Annual salary of $74,275.50-$76,537.50 plus $5.35 per hour, 12% superannuation and benefits.
