Early Childhood Educator

About the role

Reddam Early Learning Schools, part of Inspired Education Group, is looking for an Early Childhood Educator in Sydney. The educator provides early learning experiences for children aged 1-5 years, with a focus on emotional, social and cognitive development, within a Reggio Emilia-inspired, inquiry-based program. The school offers a holistic early years curriculum covering music, language, sport, drama and dance, and children benefit from nutritious meals prepared on site.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Room Leader in delivering an engaging, inquiry-based program suited to children aged 1-5 years.
• Maintain ongoing documentation of each child's development, using reflection to inform planning and individualised support.
• Conduct observations and assessments and plan for a small group of children.
• Create stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments that encourage curiosity and creativity.
• Build respectful partnerships with families, giving regular updates and involving them in their child's learning.
• Collaborate with the wider team on planning and professional growth, and help maintain a safe, inclusive environment meeting regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Certificate III, Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care, or actively working towards these qualifications.
• Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), or ability to obtain one.
• Experience in early childhood education and a strong understanding of child-led, inquiry-based learning and the Reggio Emilia philosophy.
• Excellent communication skills, adaptability, empathy and patience, with a commitment to reflective practice and professional development.
