Duty Technician Supervisor

About the role

Mercure Resort, a 292-room property on the Gold Coast with pools, gardens, a restaurant, conference spaces and lobby, is looking for a Duty Technician Supervisor. The role supports the Chief Engineer and the maintenance team so that all resort facilities and guest areas run smoothly. It is a hands-on supervisory position covering guest rooms, pools, recreation areas, kitchens and back-of-house spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance across the resort
• Supervise and support a team of 4 handypersons
• Prioritise and coordinate daily maintenance activities
• Diagnose, maintain and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
• Monitor contractor activities and compliance with Accor standards
• Monitor utility consumption and identify energy conservation opportunities
• Support rostering and staff training

Required profile

• Experience supervising maintenance operations (ideally 2 years or more)
• Knowledge of hotel building services and maintenance
• Guest-focused mindset and proven ability to lead a small team
• Flexible availability, including occasional weekends and after-hours

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of plant and equipment maintenance
• HVAC qualification and experience highly regarded
• Microsoft Office Suite; HUB OS and Opera Cloud advantageous
• Safe Work Practices knowledge
