Driving Instructor (Contractor)

About the role

NRMA is recruiting a contracted driving instructor for its driving school, which won the Finder's 2026 Most Loved Driving School award. The role starts with learner lessons and the NSW Safer Drivers Course, and grows with experience to include senior assessments and corporate training programs.

Required profile

• Valid registered ACN
• Own dual-control white vehicle, less than 5 years old, with a 5-star ANCAP rating
• Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training or equivalent
• Valid NSW Driving Instructor License and NSW Class C driver's license
• Valid Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
• Desirable: Valid TfNSW Safer Drivers Course qualification

• Exceptional customer service, empathy and patience
• Strong communication across different demographics and driving confidence levels
• Excellent knowledge of NSW road rules and regulations
• Effective diary management and time management
• Flexibility to adapt to different customer learning styles
