Driller's Offsider SA – Entry Level Traineeship

About the role

Join DDH1 Drilling as a Driller’s Offsider on a paid traineeship across Western Australia. You’ll work FIFO from Perth on a mix of client site and exploration projects, gaining hands‑on experience while completing a fully funded Certificate II in Drilling Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Mobilise drilling rigs between set‑ups and handle core samples, including removal, labelling and storage.
• Manage drilling rods, core tubes and drill‑fluid additives.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, clean equipment and assist with routine maintenance and repairs.
• Support the drill crew during 12‑hour shifts in remote, harsh conditions.

Required profile

• Valid unrestricted HR‑B driver’s licence (or willingness to obtain one before start).
• Australian or New Zealand residency.
• Ability to pass a national police clearance, pre‑employment medical, drug and alcohol screening.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (HLTAID009 & HLTAID011).
• Physically fit with manual‑labour experience and able to work FIFO from any Australian capital city.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of drilling operations (to be developed during training).
• First Aid & CPR competency.
• Valid driver’s licence.
