Drafting Team Leader

About the role

ABN Group, a builder, property and finance group active for over 45 years in Western Australia and Victoria, is looking for a Drafting Team Leader to lead its WA drafting team behind the group's building brands. Reporting to the Drafting & Approvals Manager WA, you will oversee and lead the approvals team across ABN brands, set reporting and achieve monthly goals in line with business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritise, allocate and track all jobs within the team and department so they finish efficiently and on time
• Lead and support a customer-centric culture, giving feedback to build team capability and promote continuous learning
• Work with key stakeholders to improve efficiency and approval timelines, boosting customer satisfaction
• Assess approval applications to gain insights and drive process improvement
• Meet and exceed KPIs for workflow management, approval timelines and customer satisfaction
• Hold ongoing performance reviews focused on development plans and individual performance
• Document and address current and future approval process risks and support mitigation plans
• Maintain proactive communication and relationships with external stakeholders

Required profile

• A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to influence and deliver a positive customer experience
• Leadership capability: motivating, managing and giving clear direction
• Experience with shires, local councils, approvals and compliance
• Strong communication skills and proven ability to build lasting working relationships
• Knowledge of regulatory and approval processes in the WA residential construction industry
