Drafter - Medical Design Innovations

About the role

Device Technologies, a medical device distributor founded in 1992 with headquarters in Sydney, is looking for a drafter to join its pendant manufacturing business, the only one in Australia. The drafter produces technical drawings used in construction and manufacturing, supporting engineers, technologists, architects and other professionals by creating designs and drawings from exact specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Create technical drawings and designs based on precise specifications
• Work with computer-generated software such as AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit
• Prepare technical documentation, reports and design records

Required profile

• Strong project management and multitasking ability, able to handle several projects and priorities at once
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accurate, high-quality work
• Teamwork and interpersonal skills, working closely with Product Managers and cross-functional teams
• Well-developed time management skills, delivering projects on time
• Strong written and verbal communication, and critical thinking and problem-solving

Required skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk CAD software, including AutoCAD and Inventor or Revit
• Creation and modification of technical drawings and designs
