Distribution Centre Manager

About the role

Lead the end‑to‑end operation of the Melbourne Airport Distribution Centre, overseeing inbound, storage, replenishment, picking, packing, dispatch and administration. You will report to the General Manager, Supply & Distribution and manage a two‑shift team of operational leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Drive site performance against DIFOT, TRIFFOR and other KPIs, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety and wellbeing legislation.
• Manage workforce planning, labour allocation and capacity to meet changing demand.
• Oversee facilities, equipment and material‑handling assets to maintain a safe, compliant and efficient operation.
• Partner with Transport, Inventory, Planning, Customer Service, Technology and Supply teams to achieve business objectives.

Required profile

• 7+ years’ experience in distribution, warehousing, logistics or supply chain operations.
• Proven experience leading leaders in a multi‑shift environment.
• Strong exposure to workforce planning, productivity improvement and budget management.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive cross‑functional collaboration.

Required skills

• Experience managing safety, quality and operational performance metrics.
