Dispute Resolution & Litigation Lawyer (2-4 years PQE)

About the role

Piper Alderman is expanding its Dispute Resolution & Litigation team and seeks a qualified lawyer with 2‑4 years post‑qualification experience. The role will involve handling a broad spectrum of commercial disputes, ranging from contractual and corporate matters to professional negligence, property, wills, estates, family trusts, regulatory proceedings and select personal injury claims for corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with partners and senior lawyers on litigation and dispute matters.
• Draft emails, correspondence, opinions, advice and legal documentation for court and tribunal proceedings.
• Assist with file preparation and management.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
• Manage the discovery process, including collection, review and organisation of documents and evidence.
• Attend court appearances and mediations.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of post‑admission general litigation experience.
• Experience in general commercial and corporate litigation is advantageous.
• Exposure to superior state courts and some court appearances.
• Excellent academic record and strong technical legal skills.
• Ability to manage time, meet tight deadlines and maintain high attention to detail.
• Team‑player with a collaborative working style and a proactive, “can‑do” attitude.
