Dispatch Coordinator

About the role

The Mitre 10 Trade Centre in Wonthaggi, Victoria is looking for a reliable, organised and proactive Dispatch Coordinator to take charge of daily logistics and help ensure smooth, on-time deliveries for customers and builders. This is a full-time 38-hour position, Monday to Friday, starting around 6:30am or 7am. The role involves managing delivery schedules, coordinating with drivers, resolving delivery issues and handling customer service queries.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily deliveries using the Delivery Management System (DMS)
• Plan delivery runs and communicate schedules with drivers
• Keep customers informed and provide good service throughout the delivery process
• Resolve delivery, scheduling and stock-related issues to minimise disruptions
• Allocate and prepare stock for dispatch while keeping the warehouse safe and organised
• Support the Site Manager with logistics, reporting and day-to-day operations
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, reports and documentation

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics, scheduling or distribution
• Current forklift licence (essential)
• Trade or warehousing background is a plus but not essential
• An HR and crane truck licence is an advantage
• Strong communication skills, customer-first mindset and problem-solving ability under pressure
• Attention to detail and accuracy
