Disability Support Practitioner

About the role

Packforce is CPA's Australian Disability Enterprise, providing ongoing work for people with disability alongside the support they need to develop their skills, build confidence and take part in the workplace. As a Disability Support Worker in Frenchs Forest, you will support employees with disability to take part in a supported work environment, develop their skills and reach their individual goals. This is a full-time, Monday-to-Friday position.

Key responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to employees with disability in a workplace setting.
• Help them take part in packing, production and other enterprise activities.
• Encourage skill development, independence, confidence and workplace participation.
• Adapt your support to each person's individual needs and abilities.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and respectful working environment.
• Work with colleagues to support daily operations and help employees reach their goals.

Required profile

• Experience supporting people with disability, ideally in an employment, day program or similar setting.
• A person-centred approach that promotes dignity, choice, inclusion and independence.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt your approach to different support needs.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety; a positive, hands-on attitude.
• High level of physical functionality, with some inherent requirements for the role.

Required skills

• Current NSW driver licence (P2 minimum).
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Current NDIS Worker Check.
