Disability Support Practitioner

About the role

Join Cerebral Palsy Alliance as a Disability Support Practitioner in Umina Beach, providing person‑centred care to adults living in group homes. You will help clients lead independent, empowered lives while supporting daily routines and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide respectful personal care, mealtimes assistance, medication support and daily routine help.
• Encourage skill‑building, independence and decision‑making.
• Facilitate community participation, social connections and transport using CPA vans or personal vehicles.
• Follow person‑centred plans with empathy and professionalism.
• Build positive relationships with clients and support staff.

Required profile

• Embodies CPA values and is client‑focused.
• Can‑do attitude, growth mindset and passion for making an impact.
• NSW Driver’s Licence (P2 or above) and physical capability for mobility support.
• Availability for varied shift times, including early mornings, day shifts, evenings and overnight.

Required skills

• Professional Behaviour Support experience or lived experience (preferred).
• Ability to follow person‑centred plans and maintain professional boundaries.
