Disability Care Professional (Casual)

About the role

A casual Disability Support Worker is sought to provide person-centred care to people living with disability. The work covers Macquarie, Chisholm and Jerrabombera in the ACT, and Googong in NSW, and runs Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The role focuses on consistent, respectful care tailored to each client's routine and preferences.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care with dignity and respect
• Assist with daily activities and help maintain routine
• Support clients with manual handling and mobility needs
• Perform domestic tasks to keep the home environment comfortable
• Communicate clearly and compassionately, adapting to client needs
• Ensure consistency and stability in day-to-day care

Required profile

• Certificate III or IV in Disability Support (or equivalent)
• Proven experience supporting individuals with cerebral palsy
• Demonstrated ability in manual handling
• Calm, polite and soft-spoken approach, with strong active listening and communication skills
• Exceptional patience, emotional resilience and flexibility in care delivery
