Director Workforce Culture, Capability & Change

About the role

TAFE NSW is seeking a senior leader to shape the culture, capability and change agenda across its statewide vocational education network. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will drive strategic initiatives that enhance workforce performance and support organisational transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver organisation‑wide strategies, programs and frameworks that strengthen workforce capability.
• Lead culture and organisational development initiatives aligned with TAFE NSW priorities.
• Support leadership effectiveness through capability building and change management.
• Partner with executive stakeholders to translate strategic goals into scalable outcomes.
• Oversee high‑performing teams and ensure successful implementation of change programmes.

Required profile

• Proven strategic leadership experience in workforce capability, culture or organisational change within complex environments.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate at executive level.
• Strong track record of turning strategy into measurable organisational results.
• Collaborative, inclusive leadership style with resilience and agility.
• Experience leading high‑performing teams.
