Director Structured Credit Solutions

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group is seeking a Director of Structured Credit Solutions to lead the origination and structuring of asset‑based and back‑leverage financing transactions for institutional clients in Australia. The role focuses on private credit, real estate debt, and alternative asset managers, offering a platform to shape market strategy and product development.

Key responsibilities

• Originate, structure and execute secured financing transactions for private credit managers, real estate debt investors, private equity firms and alternative asset managers.
• Develop and maintain senior‑level relationships with key market participants to identify new financing opportunities.
• Partner with coverage teams and regional structuring specialists to deliver bespoke solutions within defined risk parameters.
• Lead client negotiations from initial engagement through execution and act as the primary point of contact for Australian‑based clients.
• Contribute to product framework, risk appetite and market positioning by monitoring industry trends.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in financial markets or structured finance within institutional banking.
• Proven track record in transaction origination and a strong network among Australian institutional investors.
• Deep technical knowledge of secured financing products across multiple asset classes.
• Commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills to manage stakeholder interests.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams on approval processes and deal execution.

Required skills

• Expertise in structured credit solutions, back‑leverage facilities, NAV lending, loan‑on‑loan transactions, and equity‑backed financing.
• Strong understanding of the Australian private credit ecosystem, including borrower and lender dynamics.
