About the role

The Queensland Shared Services (QSS) organisation is looking for an accomplished senior leader to direct the delivery of payroll and recruitment administration services across the Queensland Government. This pivotal role will shape the future of shared services for thousands of public‑sector employees.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for large, multi‑disciplinary teams of 100+ staff.
• Lead and influence major change initiatives and service transformation programmes.
• Strengthen service performance, manage risk and ensure high‑quality customer outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with senior stakeholders and customers.
• Foster an inclusive, high‑performance culture where staff can excel.

Required profile

• Proven senior leader with experience managing large service‑delivery teams through complexity and change.
• Comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.
• Demonstrated ability to drive organisational change, continuous improvement and innovation.
• Excellent stakeholder management grounded in trust and accountability.
