Director, Property - Major Client Group

About the role

The Major Client Group Property team leads relationships with some of NSW's largest and most sophisticated private property investors and developers. As Director, you will lead a team of three to originate and execute sophisticated real estate finance transactions, build enduring client relationships and drive portfolio growth. The role serves newly originated customers and existing high-value clients with complex banking needs across commercial and residential property investments and developments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing property customers
• Use insights and expertise to lead solutions for clients' complex needs and provide an excellent customer experience
• Prepare credit memos in line with the Bank's requirements and coordinate with risk, legal and the property finance technical team for efficient transaction execution
• Coach the Senior Associate and other team members on running real estate transactions, including writing quality credit papers, legal documentation and detailed financial analysis
• Own and drive proactive risk management of the portfolio, including covenant compliance checks, annual reviews and early warning signals

Required profile

• At least 7-10 years' experience in residential and commercial property investment and development facilities
• Demonstrated success managing a portfolio of high-value corporate/institutional clients in the large residential and commercial property development and investment sectors
• Ability to build relationships to grow the client base
• Highly skilled in financial analysis
