Director, Portfolio Management (Diagnostics)

About the role

As Director, Portfolio Management (Diagnostics) at Resmed, you will lead delivery excellence across the global Diagnostics portfolio, covering both Consumer and Provider domains. You will lead geographically distributed teams across Sydney, India, the United States, Singapore and Dublin, turning portfolio strategy into predictable execution across digital, hardware, regulatory and regional delivery streams in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of the global Diagnostics portfolio, with accountability for commitments, timelines and outcomes.
• Lead execution across product, engineering, regulatory and business stakeholders, and drive prioritization, sequencing and trade-off decisions.
• Translate strategy into delivery plans while balancing demand, capacity, risk and regulatory requirements.
• Represent delivery performance, risks and dependencies to executive leadership, and establish governance frameworks and reporting.
• Mitigate systemic risks, define evaluation frameworks for technical, operational and regulatory readiness, and continuously improve operating models.
• Champion innovation, including AI-enabled delivery practices, and partner with Product and Engineering leaders on roadmap priorities.
• Build, mentor and develop a global team of Project and Program Managers, and set standards for delivery excellence across the PMO.

Required profile

• 10+ years of leadership experience delivering complex programs, portfolios or product initiatives across multi-team engineering environments.
• Proven success leading large-scale delivery in globally distributed organizations, with experience in digital and/or hardware products in regulated environments.
• Track record of improving operating models and leading organizational transformation.
• Experience in the medical device, healthcare technology or another highly regulated industry is a differentiator.
