About the role

The South Australian Housing Trust is seeking a Director of Partnerships and Growth to lead the development of strategic collaborations that improve housing outcomes across South Australia. In this senior position you will design partnership models, negotiate contracts and guide a high‑performing team to deliver innovative social‑housing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage strategic partnerships with government agencies, not‑for‑profits, financiers, regulators, investors and community providers.
• Design and implement partnership models that integrate community housing providers and coordinate responses to housing demand.
• Lead complex commissioning and contract negotiations, ensuring accountability, value for money and compliance with policy.
• Establish monitoring frameworks and evidence‑based tools to measure service delivery effectiveness.
• Provide expert advice and reporting on performance metrics, risks and opportunities to the Minister, Board and Executive.
• Oversee large‑scale community housing projects while ensuring adherence to governance and regulatory requirements.
• Support culturally informed reforms under the Aboriginal Housing Strategy and promote inclusive policies.
• Foster a high‑performing, inclusive team culture focused on excellence, learning and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in partnership development, contract management or strategic growth within the housing, government or not‑for‑profit sectors.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and ability to influence senior executives and board members.
• Strong understanding of social‑housing policy, Aboriginal housing initiatives and community‑housing frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse performance data, manage risk and deliver results in complex stakeholder environments.
