Director, Office of the CEO

About the role

The Economic Regulation Authority (ERA) is seeking a Director to provide strategic, analytical and business support to the CEO. This senior leader will work closely with the Corporate Executive and senior managers to align organisational purpose and drive strategic outcomes across the agency.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate organisation‑wide strategic planning and implementation of agency objectives.
• Advise the CEO and senior leadership on whole‑of‑agency strategic issues.
• Provide program management expertise and oversee Board governance, communications, stakeholder engagement and legal administration functions.
• Lead, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team responsible for strategy, governance, program delivery and communications.
• Drive business improvement initiatives and manage change across the organisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in communications, strategic planning, project management and Board governance.
• Strong track record of delivering business improvement and managing complex change programmes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
• Effective people leadership, highly organised and outcomes‑focused.
