Director of Services Business Development

About the role

Mastercard Services is seeking a Director of Services Business Development to lead the creation and closure of business optimisation proposals for clients across the Australasia division. The role focuses on consulting‑sales activities within the Australian payments industry, driving revenue growth and delivering high‑quality engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Translate market development objectives into sales strategies for an assigned portfolio of key client accounts.
• Perform comprehensive analysis to understand client needs and identify potential solutions.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, influencers, sponsors and decision‑makers to align support with business objectives.
• Manage the full sales cycle from client needs identification through contract development and execution.
• Develop sales‑support materials such as presentations and business cases that clearly articulate Mastercard Services’ value.
• Ensure engagement quality by leading post‑implementation reviews and identifying follow‑on opportunities.
• Proactively identify new business opportunities and combine multiple product offerings to meet broader client needs.
• Contribute to project delivery using consultancy skills, including project management and subject‑matter expertise.
• Participate in recruiting and training activities.

Required profile

• Highly motivated and sales‑focused individual.
• Proven experience in consulting sales roles.
• Deep knowledge of the Australian payments industry.
• Ability to contribute to delivery and quality management of business optimisation engagements.
