Director of Mission (12‑Month Parental Leave Replacement)

About the role

Emmanuel College is seeking an experienced, faith‑filled educational leader to serve as Director of Mission for a 12‑month parental‑leave replacement starting Term 4 2026. Reporting to the Deputy Principal Mission Integration, the role oversees the college’s Religious Education programme and nurtures its Catholic Marianist identity across the Notre Dame Campus in Point Cook.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Religious Education learning area, ensuring high‑quality curriculum delivery and exemplary teaching practice.
• Develop and coordinate liturgies, retreats, prayer experiences and other faith‑formation initiatives that reflect the Marianist tradition.
• Mentor and support Religious Education staff through coaching, professional learning and collaborative planning.
• Promote student faith leadership, social‑justice projects and service opportunities.
• Collaborate with senior college leaders to enhance learning, wellbeing and community engagement through the college mission.
• Organise key faith events, celebrations and community liturgies, supporting the spiritual life of students, staff and families.

Required profile

• Deep commitment to Catholic education and the Marianist tradition.
• Proven ability to inspire authentic faith leadership and educational excellence.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with students, staff, families and the wider community.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and collaborative leadership.
• Current or eligible accreditation to lead in a Catholic school (or equivalent).
