Director of Engineering

About the role

Lead EatClub's engineering department, partnering with Design, Product and Technology leaders to deliver high‑impact initiatives. While not a coding role, you will ensure technical solutions align with business goals and drive commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and grow a team of managers and engineers, fostering a world‑class engineering culture.
• Collaborate with CPTO and cross‑functional leaders to define and execute the product roadmap.
• Remove technical ambiguities, guide architecture decisions and champion AI adoption across the team.
• Act as a brand ambassador to attract top engineering talent.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of engineering management experience, including at least 1 year managing managers.
• Strong commercial sense with a customer‑centric mindset.
• Proven track record of recruiting high‑performing individual contributors and managers.
• Ability to navigate uncertainty, make decisions and mentor emerging leaders.

Required skills

• Experience reviewing design documentation and ensuring technical viability.
• Familiarity with modern SDLC workflows and AI integration.
