Director, Network Management

About the role

The Director – Network Commercialization will lead growth, optimisation and commercialisation of Mastercard's receiving network across the Oceania region. The role focuses on expanding payout capabilities, strengthening partner relationships and delivering best‑in‑class coverage, pricing, speed and customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional network commercialisation strategies for key remittance corridors.
• Identify, negotiate and onboard new Receiving Service Providers, banks, fintechs and payment institutions.
• Expand payout coverage across bank account deposit, mobile wallet and push‑to‑card solutions.
• Own strategic relationships with existing partners, conduct business reviews and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Collaborate with banks and issuers to activate push‑to‑card services and drive card‑based payout expansion.
• Analyse network performance, improve operational efficiency and reduce transaction failures.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory changes and develop business cases for new corridor launches.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Banking or related field.
• 5–10 years experience in payments, banking, fintech, remittances or card networks.
• Proven track record in managing commercial relationships and expanding network partnerships.
• Strong understanding of cross‑border payment ecosystems, payout methods and correspondent banking models.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and analytical skills.
