DevOps Engineer – Secure Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

Centorrino Technologies is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support a critical cyber‑security initiative within a highly secure, mission‑focused environment. The role is a 12‑month contract based in Brisbane, Melbourne or Canberra and involves designing, deploying and managing secure cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
• Build, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar tools.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and configuration management with Terraform, Ansible and CloudFormation.
• Develop automation scripts in Python, Bash and PowerShell to improve operational efficiency.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance, reliability and security through logging, alerting and incident response.
• Collaborate with software engineers, cloud specialists and stakeholders to troubleshoot and streamline delivery.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives, documentation and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience designing and supporting cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Strong expertise in AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with IaC and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible or CloudFormation.
• Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI or equivalent.
• Current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance or ability to meet eligibility requirements.
