DevOps Engineer

About the role

CMSN Group builds software products and digital platforms across AI, enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, robotics, e-commerce, managed IT services, renewable energy and digital transformation. It is looking for a DevOps Engineer in Sydney to design, automate and manage the cloud infrastructure behind its growing portfolio of AI platforms, ERP systems, eCommerce solutions, robotics applications and SaaS products. The role bridges development and operations by building secure, scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure, automating deployments, improving reliability, implementing Infrastructure as Code and enhancing CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor application performance, availability and security; configure automated backups, disaster recovery and high availability.
• Implement DevSecOps best practices and security automation.
• Manage Linux servers, networking, DNS, SSL certificates and load balancers.
• Support development teams, troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues, and maintain documentation.
• Improve cloud performance, scalability and cost.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong Linux system administration experience.
• Experience with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).

Required skills

• Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD pipelines and IaC (Terraform or Ansible)
• Scripting with Bash, Python and PowerShell
• Networking basics: DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, reverse proxy, SSL/TLS
• Monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack or Datadog
• Nice to have: cloud certifications, Helm, Kubernetes Operators, database and message queue experience, AI/ML and GPU workloads, microservices and API gateways
