DevOps Engineer – Cloud Automation & Observability

About the role

Join ASX, Australia’s leading securities exchange, as a DevOps Engineer. You will work on critical market infrastructure, building automation and observability solutions that support a fair and dynamic marketplace.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation solutions using Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Design, build and manage Infrastructure‑as‑Code with Terraform on AWS.
• Create and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Engineer containerised workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement observability using OpenTelemetry, metrics, logs and distributed tracing.
• Integrate security controls, secrets management and policy checks into cloud and pipeline workflows.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on DevOps, cloud or platform engineering experience.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services and Linux environments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Practical experience delivering Infrastructure‑as‑Code with Terraform.
• Solid background building CI/CD pipelines and working with Docker/Kubernetes.
