DevOps Engineer – Azure & Terraform (Perth/Sydney/Melbourne)

About the role

The DevOps Engineer will design, build and operate Azure cloud environments for development, test and production, driving automation and DevSecOps across the organisation. Based in Perth, Sydney or Melbourne, you will work in a global team to evolve APM’s cloud platforms and delivery pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, provision and manage Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Create and maintain CI‑CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Embed security controls, scanning and governance into pipelines (DevSecOps).
• Automate infrastructure and application delivery to improve reliability.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights.
• Support incident response, problem management and root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure and security teams to raise platform maturity.
• Contribute to platform standards, architecture road‑maps and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation for critical services.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience working with Azure or Microsoft cloud environments.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Proven experience building and managing CI‑CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture, networking, identity and security.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and security governance.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools in Azure.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO or CIS.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
