Development Manager – Senior Advancement & Philanthropy

About the role

The Development Manager – Senior Advancement & Philanthropy will partner with the Dean of Advancement to shape and deliver the college’s philanthropic strategy. This role is central to fostering a culture of giving, stewardship, and community connection across the college and its alumni network.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate the college’s philanthropic programs and fundraising initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Advancement Team, college leadership, the Foundation Board, and the broader Terrace community, including Old Boys.
• Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, alumni, corporate partners, and other stakeholders.
• Promote best practices in philanthropy and ensure alignment with the mission of Edmund Rice Education Australia.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on fundraising trends and opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in designing and delivering philanthropic or fundraising programs.
• Strong understanding of best practices within the philanthropic sector.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to the mission and ethos of St Joseph’s College and EREA.
