Development Manager

About the role

Greystar is seeking an experienced Development Manager to join its Sydney team and lead the delivery of upcoming ground‑up residential projects, including a major student accommodation development. You will oversee the full development lifecycle, from planning and design through construction delivery and operational handover.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of a major student accommodation development from inception through to completion.
• Manage programme, procurement, design, budget and construction activities across the project lifecycle.
• Assist with technical due diligence, feasibility assessments and project planning activities.
• Support operational integration and project handover processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors and key project stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experienced development or project management professional with a strong background in residential, Build‑to‑Rent, student accommodation or mixed‑use developments.
• Thrives in fast‑paced environments, manages complex projects and adopts a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Highly collaborative, commercially minded and confident working across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Relevant qualifications in property, construction, engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong understanding of development, planning, construction and procurement processes within Australia.
