Desktop Support Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Desktop Support Specialist to deliver fast, professional deskside IT support to our clients. You will work on‑site, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues while maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide swift deskside support, performing on‑site analysis, diagnosis and resolution of desktop problems.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot workstations, mobile devices and related hardware/software.
• Record, update and resolve tickets using ServiceNow.
• Collaborate with global support groups to troubleshoot client issues.
• Utilise tools for building, monitoring and troubleshooting client devices.
• Participate in disaster‑recovery testing exercises.
• Uphold procedures for logging, reporting and monitoring desktop operations.
• Write technical support documentation and Knowledge‑Base articles.
• Meet or exceed defined customer‑service targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years experience in Desktop Support or IT Helpdesk.
• Proven track record supporting clients in a financial environment.
• Strong communication, time‑management and analytical skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team under pressure.

Required skills

• Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 11 and macOS support.
• Printer, PC and laptop configuration, installation and repair.
• VPN, Soft Phones, Remote Desktop and VDI.
• Asset tracking and inventory management.
• Phone and tablet support (Windows, iPhone, iOS, Android).
• ServiceNow ticketing system.
• Windows migration and hardware/software troubleshooting.
