Desktop Support Engineer – Onsite IT Support (Sydney)

About the role

The Desktop Support Engineer will deliver high‑quality technical assistance for all end‑user computing devices at our Sydney office. You will be the first point of contact for incidents, service requests and IMAC activities, ensuring fast resolution and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for laptops, desktops, printers and mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, Android).
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and OS issues (Windows 7/10) using ServiceNow ticketing.
• Perform image deployment and OS upgrades with SCCM, Auto‑Pilot, and Azure Cloud PC tools.
• Manage AV equipment for conference rooms (Microsoft Teams Rooms) and support VDI technologies such as Citrix XenDesktop.
• Handle asset and inventory management, vendor coordination, and ensure SLA compliance.
• Maintain endpoint security (McAfee, Cortex XDR) and user data services (OneDrive, Office 365).
• Collaborate with server and networking teams for end‑to‑end IMAC packaging and delivery.

Required profile

• Basic experience in an IT support environment.
• Good client management and communication skills.
• Understanding of ITIL concepts and ServiceNow processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
