Designers - All Disciplines (Civil, Piping, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical)

About the role

GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES), a process engineering consulting and contracting company serving the mining and mineral processing industries, is looking for experienced designers across civil (concrete), piping, structural, electrical and mechanical disciplines. The position is based at the Ascot head office, reporting to the Drawing Office Manager, and involves work on projects across commodities such as gold, copper and iron ore, with regular site visits depending on project needs.

Key responsibilities

• Produce hard-copy drawings and electronic CAD files in line with client specifications, GRES standards and industry best practice
• Communicate clear and concise information through drawings to engineers
• Manage workload so tasks are completed in order and within the times required for each project
• Maintain high accuracy and quality in design documentation
• Prepare and review design documents to schedule

Required profile

• Minimum of 10 years of design experience
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a design context
• Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills
• Certificate or diploma in design or engineering (beneficial)
• Experience with mineral process plants and bulk materials handling projects
• Full and unrestricted Australian working rights

Required skills

• Extensive experience with discipline-specific drafting packages such as Solid Edge, AutoCAD, Tekla and Civil 3D
• Broad experience with 3D CAD platforms and modelling workflows
