Designer/Architect – Education Projects

About the role

Architectus is seeking a talented Designer/Architect to join its Education team. You will work on meaningful education projects within a collaborative, design‑led studio, contributing to all phases from concept to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design concepts, detailed design and documentation across all project stages.
• Prepare architectural drawings, renderings, presentations and visual material that meet project objectives and quality standards.
• Provide technical input and recommend practical design solutions throughout design and delivery.
• Collaborate with senior team members, clients, consultants, contractors and specialists to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Assist with quality control and ensure documentation aligns with Architectus standards and filing protocols.
• Attend site visits and help resolve on‑site design and technical issues.
• Support and guide junior team members with technical advice.

Required profile

• Registered Australian architect or eligible/willing to work toward registration.
• Experience contributing to design and documentation stages, preferably in the education sector.
• Strong design thinking combined with solid technical and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of Australian building codes, construction methods and materials.
• Excellent communication, organisational skills and ability to manage tasks with limited supervision.
