Design Draftsperson – ArchiCAD

About the role

This position is for a Design Draftsperson who will translate residential concepts into construction‑ready documentation and striking visual presentations. The role sits within a well‑established residential builder and works closely with internal teams and external consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare residential drawings from concept through to construction documentation.
• Create high‑quality CGI renders, walkthroughs and presentation material for marketing and design purposes.
• Compile documentation for Development Applications (DA), Complying Development Certificates (CDC) and construction approvals.
• Ensure designs comply with NSW planning controls, council requirements and the NCC.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and consultants to coordinate design changes and approvals.
• Assist in maintaining high drafting and documentation standards across the design team.

Required profile

• Previous experience in residential drafting within the home‑building industry.
• Strong knowledge of NSW planning requirements, including DA and CDC pathways.
• Tertiary qualification in Architecture or Building Design.
• Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced ArchiCAD proficiency.
• Proven ability to produce high‑quality CGI imagery and 3D visualisations.

What we offer

• Competitive salary range of $80,000 – $95,000 per annum plus superannuation.
