Dental Assistant - Receptionist

About the role

Bupa Dental Bowral, a three-chair practice in Bowral, NSW, is looking for a Dental Assistant who also handles reception duties. The role supports the delivery of safe, high-quality dental care and positive patient outcomes, working Monday to Friday in a fast-paced, high-volume practice.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with clinical procedures and chair-side work
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure equipment is properly sterilised
• Keep treatment rooms clean, organised and ready for patient care
• Support practice operations such as appointments, bookings, confirmations, cancellations and rebooking

Required profile

• A Certificate III in Dental Assisting or relevant experience is highly regarded; candidates with a genuine passion for a career in dental assisting are strongly encouraged to apply
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, patient-focused approach
• Ability to thrive in a busy practice and contribute to a supportive team culture

Required skills

• Chair-side assistance: instrument handling, suction, mixing dental materials, assisting with X-rays and dental instrumentation
• Knowledge of infection control procedures and cleaning, preparing and maintaining rooms, instruments and equipment according to BDC protocols and WHS requirements
