Dental Assistant - Part Time

About the role

Bupa Dental King William in Adelaide is looking for a part-time Dental Assistant to support the delivery of safe, high-quality dental care and positive patient outcomes. The practice has six chairs and the role is 32 hours per week with no weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with clinical procedures
• Maintain infection control standards
• Ensure equipment is properly sterilised
• Keep treatment rooms clean, organised and ready for patient care

Required profile

• Experience or a Certificate III in Dental Assisting is highly regarded; candidates with a genuine passion for dental assisting are encouraged to apply
• Working with Children Check permit required for successful candidates as part of the mandatory background check

Required skills

• Chair-side assistance: instrument handling, suction, mixing materials, assisting with X-rays and sound knowledge of dental instrumentation
• Strong understanding of infection control and ability to clean, prepare and maintain rooms, instruments and equipment in line with BDC procedures and WHS requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, patient-focused approach in a fast-paced, high-volume practice
