Dental Assistant

About the role

Bupa Dental Arndale in Kilkenny, South Australia, is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant for a practice with six chairs. The Dental Assistant supports the delivery of safe, high-quality dental care and positive patient outcomes, assisting with clinical procedures, maintaining infection control standards and keeping treatment rooms clean and ready.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with clinical procedures and chair-side work
• Maintain infection control standards
• Ensure equipment is properly sterilised
• Keep treatment rooms clean, organised and ready for patient care

Required profile

• Experience or a Certificate III in Dental Assisting is highly regarded; candidates with a genuine passion for dental assisting are encouraged to apply
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, patient-focused approach
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume practice and contribute to a supportive team

Required skills

• Chair-side assistance: instrument handling, suction, mixing materials, assisting with X-rays
• Sound knowledge of dental instrumentation
• Understanding of infection control and cleaning, preparing and maintaining rooms, instruments and equipment in line with BDC procedures and WHS requirements
