Demi Chef – Full‑time

About the role

Join Julio's Italian Restaurant within Holiday Inn West Perth as a Demi Chef. You will work alongside experienced chefs, refine your culinary skills, and contribute to delivering memorable Italian dining experiences for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present high‑quality dishes in line with Julio's and IHG standards.
• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations across restaurant, room service, and banqueting.
• Train and mentor junior team members as needed.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and workplace cleanliness standards.
• Monitor food quality, stock rotation, and portion control.
• Contribute ideas for menu development and service improvements.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years’ experience in a hotel, restaurant or similar commercial kitchen.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
• Passion for Italian cuisine and contemporary food trends.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
• Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a supportive team culture.
