Demi Chef – Bacar Restaurant, Pullman Sydney Olympic Park

About the role

Bacar is the award-winning contemporary restaurant at Pullman Sydney Olympic Park, part of the Accor precinct that also includes Novotel and Ibis. As a Demi Chef you join the kitchen team alongside the Executive, Head and Sous Chefs, supporting daily kitchen operations and helping deliver high-quality food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, functions and buffet service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with mise en place, stock rotation and minimising wastage
• Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes in line with brand standards
• Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen environment at all times
• Support and guide junior team members, leading by example

Required profile

• Previous experience in a hotel or high-volume restaurant environment
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work closely with suppliers to source quality products
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends, nights, public holidays and event days
• Sound knowledge of food safety standards
• Strong experience in à la carte dining and service
