Data Scientist – Advanced Analytics & AI

About the role

Philip Morris International is driving a smoke‑free future and needs a Data Scientist to accelerate business decision‑making through advanced analytics, machine learning and AI‑driven solutions. The role sits at the intersection of data science, engineering and commercial analytics, partnering with stakeholders to turn data into actionable insights and scalable models.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business questions into analytical solutions, deliver insights and visualisations using Power BI, and monitor key metrics for emerging trends.
• Design, build and deploy diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive models, including forecasting, segmentation and optimisation frameworks that improve commercial outcomes.
• Collaborate with data‑engineering teams to enhance scalable analytics platforms and data pipelines.
• Develop AI‑powered workflows to automate reporting, insight generation and other business processes, ensuring responsible and secure AI use.
• Work closely with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Operations and other functions to provide data‑driven recommendations and foster a data‑centric culture.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in FMCG or consulting, delivering analytics that influence commercial decisions.
• Proven ability to deliver end‑to‑end analytics solutions from problem definition to stakeholder adoption.
• Strong communication skills, capable of simplifying complex insights for non‑technical audiences.
• Commercial mindset with a passion for solving business problems through data.
