About the role
A leading Australian finance company is looking for a Data Engineer to join its Data & Integration Platform team in Sydney. This is a permanent, hands-on role on modern, enterprise-scale data platforms, building scalable data products and pipelines across a complex technology environment. You will work across AWS, Glue, Airflow, Apache Iceberg, Athena, Redshift and DataZone, taking data from ingestion through to analytics, reporting and APIs.
Key responsibilities
- Build and evolve enterprise data pipelines and products.
- Develop solutions across ingestion, curation, storage and distribution.
- Partner with data owners, subject matter experts and technology teams.
- Build real-time streaming solutions using Kafka and AWS.
- Develop reusable data frameworks and standards.
Required profile
- Around 5 years of data engineering experience.
- Strong AWS data platform experience.
- Strong stakeholder and communication skills.
Required skills
- Hands-on Glue, Airflow, Iceberg, Athena and Redshift.
- Strong Python and Spark skills.
- Knowledge of Kafka and real-time streaming.
