Data and Analytics Engineer

About the role

The Data & Analytics Engineer will design, build and maintain secure, high‑quality data products that enable informed decision‑making across the University of Wollongong. Working in the Financial Services & Enterprise Data Division, you will manage the full data lifecycle—from ingestion to transformation and modelling—supporting the Enterprise Data Warehouse and driving data‑driven outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver trusted data products that provide accurate, timely insights for business decisions.
• Ensure the Enterprise Data Platform operates reliably, securely, and supports scalable analytics.
• Improve data quality, consistency and accessibility to increase confidence in enterprise data assets.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective data solutions.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the Enterprise Data Warehouse as a strategic asset.

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications or experience in data and analytics, preferably within higher education.
• Proven experience in data engineering, building and maintaining data pipelines and data models.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
