Data Analyst – Automotive Pricing

About the role

We are seeking a talented Data Analyst with a passion for automotive data to join our RedBook team, part of carsales. In this hybrid role you will help shape vehicle pricing practices and support a variety of data‑driven initiatives across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of RedBook’s vehicle data, pricing products and the broader automotive market.
• Extract, clean and combine data from internal and external sources using SQL and APIs.
• Build, own and continuously improve dashboards and data products from requirement gathering to deployment.
• Design and maintain automated data pipelines to ensure data quality, consistency and timeliness.
• Support ad‑hoc projects, consulting work and future RedBook data services.

Required profile

• Experience working with automotive, asset finance or related vehicle data environments.
• Familiarity with pricing, valuation or forecasting challenges.
• Proven ability to deliver end‑to‑end data products, from problem definition to implementation.
