Data Administrator / Medical Receptionist

About the role

Lake Imaging, part of Integral Diagnostics, provides BreastScreen Victoria services to asymptomatic women and gender diverse people through its BreastScreen service in Geelong. It is seeking a full-time Data Administrator/Medical Receptionist who will represent the practice, maintain accurate BreastScreen results and information, and support the most common female cancer and the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate BreastScreen results and information
• Meet and greet patients and answer incoming calls in a professional, timely and welcoming way
• Quality check and process client and clinical information
• Provide BreastScreen results on time
• Process, file and retrieve confidential data from screening sites (BS1 QA, Abbyy verifications)
• Transfer images to referring doctors and specialists
• Perform BreastScreen-specific medical typing (training provided)

Required profile

• Medical administration exposure
• Interpersonal skills showing care, compassion and empathy
• Understanding of medical imaging terminology
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Required skills

• Excellent keyboard skills for data entry into the RIS system
• Training provided for BreastScreen medical typing
