Cybersecurity Engineer (Australia)

About the role

Harrison.ai is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen the security posture of its AI‑driven healthcare solutions. You will work across governance, risk, compliance and technical security operations, collaborating with engineering, product, IT, privacy and legal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the ISMS, ensuring compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA and related frameworks.
• Conduct cybersecurity assessments, audits and drive remediation of identified risks.
• Author and maintain security policies, procedures and control documentation.
• Support technical security tooling, firewalls, networking, endpoint protection and SIEM operations.
• Respond to security questionnaires, tenders and third‑party security vetting.
• Promote a security‑first culture through awareness programs, training and security‑by‑design practices.
• Assist data security and governance initiatives across the organisation.
• Leverage AI to automate security workflows and improve operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Solid foundation in cybersecurity engineering or GRC.
• Curiosity to work across multiple security domains and a hands‑on mindset.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a lean environment.
• Experience reporting to senior compliance leadership and influencing strategic decisions.
