Cyber Security Manager

About the role

Cyber Governance is seeking a full‑time hybrid Cyber Security Manager based in Adelaide, SA. You will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of cyber security controls, policies and governance frameworks for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee cyber security controls, policies and governance frameworks across client engagements.
• Lead risk assessments, vulnerability assessments and security posture reviews, translating technical risks into actionable recommendations.
• Manage incident response planning, tabletop exercises and coordinate remediation activities.
• Ensure alignment with standards such as ISO 27001 and support audit or certification processes.
• Advise executive leadership, mentor team members and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Contribute to security awareness programs and client training initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in cyber security governance, risk management and compliance.
• Hands‑on experience in network security and vulnerability assessment.
• Knowledge of application security principles and secure development practices.
• Proven experience developing cyber policies, incident response plans and awareness programs.
• Familiarity with industry standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST CSF, SACSF) and audit support.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Experience leading security teams or projects in consulting or enterprise environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience; certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CISA are highly regarded.
