Cyber Security Consultant

About the role

Join KBR’s Security team to shape the future of critical infrastructure security on a high‑profile transport project in Australia. You will work with industry experts, engineers and client stakeholders to embed cyber security from concept through delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on cyber security strategy, governance, risk and compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments, threat modelling and security reviews across enterprise, cloud, hybrid and OT environments.
• Provide secure‑by‑design guidance and architecture recommendations.
• Assess compliance with frameworks such as Essential Eight, ISM, PSPF, ISO 27001 and NIST.
• Develop remediation plans, roadmaps and assurance reports.
• Participate in design workshops, technical reviews and stakeholder engagements.

Required profile

• Experience delivering cyber security consulting, advisory, risk or compliance services.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to analyse complex problems and present findings to technical and executive audiences.
• Experience in critical infrastructure, transport, utilities, government or defence environments is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Cyber security risk assessment and threat modelling.
• Security architecture and secure‑by‑design principles.
• Knowledge of Essential Eight, ISM, PSPF, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
